Should buy fixed school holiday weeks in a 2 bedroom apartment/villa in a good resort, guaranteeing school holidays until children are old enough to holiday on their own. ( Yippee )
At this point:
You could either sell the apartment/villa to recoup some of the outlay.
Join your timeshare into the RCI points system to take advantage of out of season holidays or
Continue using the timeshare.
Retired couple:
Should buy a good quality resort, low maintenance fees, either a two bedroom or one bedroom apartment and use Dial an Exchange for as and when. Dial an Exchange also offer bonus
